Argus ASM-IV

Optical measurement system for the monitoring of sedimentation, erosion and re-sedimentation processes in water bodies.

The system consists of a series of infrared optical backscatter sensors (920 nm). The sensors are mounted at a distance of 1cm. Thus, the system offers a sediment height resolution of 1cm.

It is possible to measure a sand concentration of up to 500 g/l or a mud concentration of 5 g/l. It is also possible to measure turbidity in the range of 100 to 2000 NTU.

In addition, the ASM-IV also has an inclination sensor, pressure sensor and temperature sensor.

The device is available for three different measuring heights. Variant S for a measuring height of 96cm, variant N for a measuring height of 144cm and variant L with a measuring height of 192cm.

The sedimentation meter has a data logger with a capacity of 8MB, a 9V block battery is sufficient as a power supply. Data export via an optical interface.

The data logger can be configured and read out with the supplied ASMA software. The measurement data can be exported in various formats.
