TG 209 F3 Tarsus®

The easy-to-use and cost-effective thermo-microbalance

The thermo-microbalance, TG 209 F3 Tarsus®,represents a cost-effective overall concept, tailored not only to the quality assurance of polymers, but also to routine applications in the fields of organic, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food.

Functional principle:

Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) is a method of thermal analysis in which the mass of a sample is measured over time as the temperature changes. This measurement provides information about physical phenomena, such as phase transitions, absorption and desorption; as well as chemical phenomena including thermal decomposition, and solid-gas reactions (e.g., oxidation or reduction).

TG 209 F3 Tarsus® supports with:

  • Characterization by patented c-DTA®
  • Facilitation of routine work through ASC
  • Autocycle evacuation for fast gas exchange and saving of purge gas

Advantage of the TG 209 F3 Tarsus®:

  • Maximum temperature range of up to 1000 °C
  • Maximum heating rate of up to 200 K/min
  • ASC of up to 20 samples and reference crucibles (optional)
  • Gas atmospheres: inert, oxidizing, dynamic, static
  • Proteus® software (including device license)
