Sorptomatic

The SORPTOMATIC 1990 is a PC-controlled volumetric gas-adsorption system. The control and measurement is via a standard RS232 interface where up to 4 measuring instruments can be operated simultaneously. The PC is during the actual measurement released for other tasks, because all measurements are cached in the instrument and the measurement is controlled of the CPU of the instrument. An important innovation is the A.G.I.S. (Automatic Gas Introduction System) technology, which allows the SORPTOMATIC 1990, to automatically adapt the gas dosages of the current measurement of the sample. This allows even of little experienced users to perform difficult experiments, such as cryptography and high-resolution measurements and pore provisions, successful. The instrument has several pressure sensors for optimal resolution of the isotherms at low pressures and automatic calibration of pressure sensors and automatic leak tests.

Fully automatic measuring instrument for determining the specific surface area according to BET. Complete, high adsorption and desorption terms to determine the meso-and micro-pore distribution. Optional crypto chemisorption and surface measurements for the smallest (0.005 m² / g) are available.

Technical Specifications

  • Specific surface: from 0.2 m²/g, no ceiling from 0.005 m²/g (with Krypton)
  • Specific pore volume from 0.0001 cm³/g
  • Pore radius: up to approximately 200 nm
  • Repeatability: 1-3% depending on sample and evaluation model
