The Pycnomatic is a fully automated measuring instrument for determining the volume and density of powders, granules, porous materials, chemical mixtures, pastes and liquids. The Pycnomatic replaces the traditional method of fluid displacement by the use of a test gas. With helium are also the smallest pores (pore size 1E-10 m) filled. So the density of powders and porous materials can be determined precisely. For bi-fuel systems the mixture ratio can be determined through the density measurement. The internal thermostat using a peltier element allows the measurement independent of the ambient temperature.
